After many attempts at playing the fixture, Tongwynlais and Rumney II managed to get their Mallett Cup 2nd round game played on April 2nd 2016. nearly 4 months after the original fixture. The weather and league fixtures have conspired against us until now.
In a keenly fought, good quality game of Cup Rugby both teams played with total committment and some skillful play. The game could have gone either way and both teams that it was a truly intense game.
The final result was a so very close RumneyII 17 - Tongwynlais 14. Many good performances were put in by Tongwynlais players.
